About

Mintlify hosts developer documentation written in MDX and configured with docs.json. A connected GitHub repository deploys updates when you push, while the web editor can publish changes from the dashboard. Public documentation sites receive a hosted MCP search endpoint.

What you can do with it

  • Publish versioned MDX and Markdown documentation from a GitHub repository
  • Preview docs locally with the Mintlify CLI before pushing changes
  • Expose public docs to AI clients through the generated MCP endpoint

Get started

  1. Create a Mintlify project and connect its GitHub repository
  2. Edit an MDX page and configure navigation in docs.json
  3. Preview with mint dev, then push to deploy your docs site

Example

npm install -g mint
mint dev
