About

Open Wearables is an MIT-licensed platform you run with Docker. It connects Garmin, Oura, Whoop, Polar, Suunto, Strava, Withings and others, plus Apple Health, Samsung Health and Health Connect through mobile SDKs, behind one REST API with webhooks and an MCP server. Pre-1.0: APIs may change.

What you can do with it

  • Self-host one API for sleep, workouts and heart rate from users' wearables
  • Keep wearable health data on your own servers instead of a third-party aggregator
  • Let Claude or Cursor query wearable data through the bundled MCP server

Get started

  1. Clone the repo and run docker compose up -d
  2. Create an API key in the developer portal
  3. Register your own Garmin, Oura or Whoop developer apps

Example

curl "http://localhost:8000/api/v1/users/$USER_ID/summaries/sleep?start_date=2026-09-01&end_date=2026-09-30" \
  -H "X-Open-Wearables-API-Key: $OPEN_WEARABLES_API_KEY"
