About

Plate Recognizer Snapshot reads plate text and region from vehicle photos, optionally with make, model and color, through a cloud API or an on-premise Docker SDK that takes the same calls. 2,500 free lookups a month; live camera feeds need the separate Stream product.

What you can do with it

  • Read license plate numbers from parking lot or gate camera photos
  • Get a vehicle's make, model and color along with its plate
  • Run plate recognition on-premise in Docker, on a Jetson or a Raspberry Pi

Get started

  1. Sign up and copy the API token from the Snapshot Cloud dashboard
  2. POST a vehicle photo or image URL to /v1/plate-reader/
