About

Runway's developer API for generating video, images and audio from prompts and reference media. It serves Runway's own Gen-4.5 and Aleph models plus third-party ones such as Veo and Seedance. Jobs run asynchronously and are paid with prepaid credits.

What you can do with it

Generate short video clips from a text prompt or a still image
Edit or restyle existing video footage with a text prompt
Generate images from a prompt and tagged reference images

Get started

Create an organization in the Runway developer portal
Add credits (minimum payment $10)
Create an API key and set RUNWAYML_API_SECRET
