About

Atlassian's official remote MCP server connects AI tools to Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, Bitbucket, Compass and Loom on an Atlassian Cloud site. It signs in with OAuth 2.1 or API tokens and keeps each user's permissions. Richer calls use Rovo credits.

What you can do with it

  • Search, create and update Jira work items from an AI assistant
  • Summarize and draft Confluence pages from chat or your IDE
  • Turn meeting notes or specs into Jira work items in bulk

Get started

  1. Add https://mcp.atlassian.com/v2/mcp to your MCP client
  2. Sign in with Atlassian OAuth 2.1 and pick your Cloud site
  3. For headless use, have an admin enable API token auth

Example

claude mcp add --transport http atlassian https://mcp.atlassian.com/v2/mcp
