About

Cloudflare Stream accepts video uploads and live broadcasts, then encodes and delivers them through its player or HLS and DASH streams. Billing tracks video minutes stored and delivered; encoding and ingress are included.

What you can do with it

  • Upload a video file and play it through a hosted player
  • Stream live video and keep a recording for later playback
  • Give users direct upload URLs without exposing an API token

Get started

  1. Enable Stream in your Cloudflare account
  2. Create an API token with Stream upload permissions
  3. Upload a video and use its playback URL or Stream player

Example

curl -X POST "https://api.cloudflare.com/client/v4/accounts/$CLOUDFLARE_ACCOUNT_ID/stream" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKEN" \
  --form "file=@./video.mp4"
