About

Kaltura Media Services is a video platform API: upload files in resumable chunks, transcode them, run RTMP live streams with recording, and deliver HLS or DASH through playManifest URLs or the Kaltura player. Billing is a $20 yearly fee plus usage, such as $0.001 per delivered stream.

What you can do with it

Upload large video files in resumable chunks and transcode them to renditions
Stream on-demand video as HLS or DASH through playManifest URLs or the player
Run RTMP live streams with cloud transcoding, DVR and recording to on-demand

Get started

Open a Media Services account and copy the partner ID and admin secret
Upload with uploadToken, create the entry with media.add and attach it
Play the entry through a playManifest HLS URL or the Kaltura player
