Google's API for messages, threads, drafts, labels and mailbox changes. Its remote MCP is a Developer Preview requiring Google Workspace Developer Preview Program membership. Enable APIs and OAuth consent; restricted scopes require verification and may require a security assessment.

Get started

Enable Gmail API in a Google Cloud project
Configure OAuth consent, request minimum scopes and obtain an access token
For MCP, join Google's Workspace Developer Preview and enable Gmail MCP API
