About

Tile38 is an open-source, in-memory geolocation data store, spatial index and real-time geofencing server. It stores points and GeoJSON, answers nearby, within and intersects queries, and sends enter, exit and cross events to webhooks and message systems.

What you can do with it

  • Fire a webhook when a tracked object enters or exits an area
  • Query which stored objects are nearby or within a region
  • Store live device locations in a spatial index you host

Get started

  1. Run the Tile38 server with Docker or a binary
  2. Store objects in a collection
  3. Create a geofence hook with SETHOOK

Example

docker run -p 9851:9851 tile38/tile38

# in tile38-cli: webhook for objects near a point in the "fleet" collection
SETHOOK warehouse http://10.0.20.78/endpoint NEARBY fleet FENCE POINT 33.5123 -112.2693 500
