About

Serverless data platform with Redis, a vector database, the QStash HTTP queue and scheduler, and durable workflows, all usable over REST from edge and serverless runtimes. Billed per request with a free quota; Redis runs in AWS regions.

What you can do with it

  • Cache sessions and API responses in Redis over HTTP from edge functions
  • Queue, delay and schedule calls to your API endpoints with retries
  • Store embeddings and run semantic or hybrid search for RAG

Get started

  1. Create a Redis database in the Upstash Console
  2. Copy the REST URL and REST token from the Connect section
  3. Send Redis commands as HTTPS requests

Example

curl "$UPSTASH_REDIS_REST_URL/set/foo/bar" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $UPSTASH_REDIS_REST_TOKEN"
curl "$UPSTASH_REDIS_REST_URL/get/foo" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $UPSTASH_REDIS_REST_TOKEN"
