About

Valkey is a BSD-3-Clause in-memory data store for caching, keys with expiry and structured data. Operate the server yourself and configure network access and ACLs. Persistence, replication and clustering are available; official GLIDE clients support several languages.

What you can do with it

  • Cache sessions and frequently requested application data in memory
  • Expire cached keys automatically with a time-to-live
  • Store counters, sets and sorted rankings in a self-hosted data store

Get started

  1. Install and run Valkey on your own infrastructure
  2. Configure network access and ACL credentials
  3. Connect with valkey-cli or a supported client library

Example

valkey-cli GET session:user-123
