Penpot is an open-source, self-hostable design and prototyping tool built on open web standards. Developers extend it with a plugin API and webhooks, or let an AI agent read and edit board files through its official MCP server. The hosted plan is free for core design and collaboration features.

Get started

1. Enable MCP in account integrations and generate an MCP key
2. Add the server URL with your key to an MCP client
