About

The WhatsApp Cloud API is Meta's hosted API for messaging customers from a WhatsApp Business phone number. Replies inside an open customer service window are free; other messages must use pre-approved templates, billed per delivered message by category and country.

Reply to customers with text, media and interactive buttons
Receive incoming WhatsApp messages and delivery statuses via webhooks

Get started

Create a Meta app with the WhatsApp use case
Add a business phone number and note its phone number ID
Generate a permanent system user access token
